Elevating Workplace Productivity Through Thoughtful Design

In the pursuit of optimising workplace productivity, it has become increasingly evident that employees perform at their best when they are afforded a range of versatile spaces that can be tailored to meet their specific needs. Modern offices are no longer confined to uniform cubicles or open floor plans; instead, they recognise the importance of providing employees with options.

These options encompass a spectrum of workspaces, from quiet, private areas where focused work can thrive, to communal team rooms that foster collaboration and innovation. Moreover, today's ideal office transcends the traditional confines of work and integrates elements of relaxation and comfort, acknowledging that a holistic work environment can significantly enhance employee satisfaction and performance.

This was achieved in the ROCKWOOL GBS Poznań office thanks to the use of a newly introduced solution by Rockfon — the Hub acoustic platform. This innovative platform redefines spatial dynamics within an office, offering the ability to create distinct zones, effectively forming a "space within the space." What sets this solution apart is its adaptability; it grants employees the freedom to configure these zones according to their immediate requirements by simply opening or closing off curtains.

Inspired by Nature: A Design Blend of Organic Elements

The design starting point for this project was the slogan "primary materials" — meaning rock, wood, plants. The interior designer wanted to create a sense of closeness to nature while still providing all the necessary comforts. To do this, they incorporated Rockfon Senses acoustic wall panels made of organic materials such as fragrant alpine meadow flowers. These hand-finished panels reflect the beauty of nature perfectly and provide ample acoustic comfort.

Rockfon Lamella acoustic wall panels was installed in the meeting room. The sound-absorbing panel consists of a layer of rock wool with a thickness of 40 mm and wooden slats. These slats come in two colours: warm gold and cool blonde.

Exceptional Acoustics Transform a Versatile Workspace

In a multifunctional, flexible office spanning approximately 6,000 square meters, meticulous attention was paid to creating a comfortable atmosphere. Noise reduction and sound reflection mitigation were key focal points of the project. High-performance acoustic solutions that could be applied to various surfaces were integrated seamlessly into the interior.

Canva's Rockfon solution not only elevates the aesthetics of the office but also significantly reduces noise levels, contributing to acoustic comfort. With an absorption class of A—the highest rating available—this solution excels in optimising the acoustic environment. Additionally, the use of removable canvases with printed landscapes adds a unique touch to the interior design. Hexagon-shaped Rockfon Eclipse islands, known for their sound-absorbing properties, were strategically placed throughout the office, further enhancing the overall acoustic experience.
